Scientific papers, radial velocities and eShel
SHELYAK Instruments has sold many eShel to professional observatories around the world. The results enable our clients to advance science with paperss. We do not systematically refer to these papers because there are too much. The last ones of Theo PRIBULLA (Astronomical Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Tatranska Lomnica, Slovakia) are particularly interesting :
- Affordable echelle spectroscopy of the eccentric HAT-P-2, WASP-14 and XO-3 planetary systems with a sub-meter-class telescope : validates the use of eShel for detection of massive exoplanets with measurement accuracy of radial velocities of the order of 200 m/s.
- On the nature of the candidate T-Tauri star V501 Aurigae : shows that the data collected with eShel can be highly contributory and be added to data obtained with dedicated spectroscopes coupled to telescopes greater than 1 m (Whipple Observatory on Mount Hopkins Arizona).
The eShel spectroscope is therefore an instrument for Pros.
