Acquisition
The acquisition camera (or “Science” camera) is used to acquire the spectra of the observed object. The criteria for choosing a camera are :
The size of the sensor (the bigger the better)
The size of the pixels (which gives the sampling)
Reading dynamics (the number of shades the camera can see)
Quantum efficiency (the sensitivity of the camera to light)
Reading noise (the lower the better)
Cooling (for long exposures)
In each product sheet you will find the camera we recommend – but of course other solutions are possible.
